Prime Social Group Announce Their Lineup for 2019 Breakaway Festival in Columbus, Ohio August 23rd-24th

Today, Prime Social Group announces the lineup for Breakaway Music Festival’s return to Columbus, Ohio for the fifth year on August 23rd - 24th, 2019. As Prime Social Group’s signature multi-city event, this festival draws some of the best and biggest names in EDM and hip-hop.

Joining the rappers as one of the EDM headliners is veteran dubstep enthusiast Bassnectar. Bassnectar has been performing since the early 2000s and is best known for his high-energy and bass-heavy shows that are certain to surprise and impress any crowd. Chicago-based electronic pop production duo, Louis the Child will also be headlining this year. The pair rose to popularity after releasing their single “It’s Strange” featuring K.Flay in 2015 and have shown no signs of slowing down, producing collaborations that include singles with Elohim, Icona Pop, Wafia, and more.

Headlining the hip-hop side of the festival is Atlanta rapper and platinum artist Future. The celebrated rapper has been dominating the charts for years, and his seventh album The Wizrd debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, making it his sixth number one album in the US. Top-tier billing continues with fellow Atlanta rapper, Young Thug. Young Thug rose to fame when his album Slime Season gained traction in the rap community, featuring tracks like “Best Friend”, "Freaky," "Draw Down," and "Wood Would" as highlights. He’s gone on to collaborate with artists like Migos, Gucci Mane, Travi$ Scott and Wyclef Jean.

The lineup extends further with performances by English trap powerhouse TroyBoi, genre-bending producer blackbear, tropical house DJ Matoma, deep-house aficionado Felix Jaehn, hip-hop leaning trap phenomenon Wax Motif, future-bass wizards Droeloe, bass-heavy master Mersiv, future tech house breakout star Noizu, up-and-comers Carter Cruise, PLS&TY, Midnight Kids & Kavion, and more.
