Prime Social Group Announces the Highly Anticipated Phase One Lineup for Breakaway Music Festival in Charlotte, NC

 

CHARLOTTE, NC) － Today, Prime Social Group announces the highly anticipicated phase one lineup for the first Breakaway Music Festival in Charlotte, NC. The two-day festival is set to take place October 12-13 at the AvidxChange Music Factory.

Breakaway Charlotte carefully explores the intersection of hip-hop and electronic music resulting in a supremely curated lineup that includes some of the most impressive names in the industry with festival headliner GRiZ, Lil Pump, Louis The Child, Machine Gun Kelly, NGHTMRE, 3LAU, Hoodie Allen, Lil Skies, Lost Kings, Carter Cruise, Styles&Complete, Freaky, The Harley Boys, and more to be announced.

“Charlotte has been a city ripe for a festival like Breakaway for a very long time; the music fans here are some of the most passionate in the country. We couldn’t be more excited to introduce our second installment of Breakaway Charlotte with a stacked lineup of not only extremely talented artists, but local businesses as well,” Market Manager, Preston Abernathy said.

Rounding out the EDM portion of the bill is future funk artist GRiZ, who is no stranger to festival headline billing as well as impressively selling out numerous headlining tours. Best known for tracks like “Good Times Roll” and  for his unique mix of dubstep, bass, and jazz, Griz has attracted an enormous fan following over the years. To precede on the EDM portion of the bill are streaming super-stars Louis the Child, who are one of the most in-demand remixers in the industry. Since the explosion of their trademark single, It’s Strange,  these teen titans have been on a steady trajectory to the top of the modern music world.

Also bringing world-class talent to Charlotte is Miami’s 17-year-old Lil Pump. Starting to make music and releasing tracks in just 2016, he became a star almost overnight. He’s best known for his certified platinum track “Gucci Gang” which peaked at number three on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and debuted his first studio album Lil Pump just last year. Also set to perform is Machine Gun Kelly, rapid fire lyrical flow, which apparently also gave him his name.  As a hip-hop kingpin, both his sophomore album General Admission and third full-length album Bloom have peaked at the top of the R&B + Hip-Hop Album charts.

Coming in 2018, Breakaway Music Festival will not only return to Charlotte’s AvidXchange Music Factory, but will also return to Columbus’ MAPFRE Stadium Aug. 24-26, Grand Rapids’ Belknap Park Aug. 24-25, and expand to Nashville’s Bicentennial Capitol Mall Oct. 5-6, and took place in Dallas’ Toyota Music Factory in April.
